The Spirit of the Wild

Located in southwestern Uganda along the edge of the Albertine Rift, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park protects an ancient tropical rainforest estimated to be over 25,000 years old. The park is internationally recognized for hosting nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, making it a critical conservation area. Bwindi’s rugged terrain is covered with thick vegetation, steep hills, and deep valleys that create a habitat for remarkable biodiversity. In addition to gorillas, the park supports more than 120 mammal species, 350 bird species, and thousands of plant varieties. Its remote and pristine environment offers visitors an immersive experience within one of Africa’s most unique and fragile ecosystems.
