The Beginning (1998)
Founded by Charles Ole Sipitiek, a traditional Maasai leader with an unparalleled knowledge of Tanzania's wilderness, Maasai African Guides began as a small operation with a big vision: to share the authentic Africa that few outsiders ever experience.
Growing up in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Ole Sipitiek learned the ancient ways of reading the land, understanding animal behavior, and living in harmony with nature. These skills, passed down through generations of Maasai warriors and elders, became the foundation of our guiding philosophy.
