While the lodge welcomes older children, gorilla trekking is restricted to those aged 15 and over. The lodge offers a family suite for those traveling with older teens.

How do I get to the lodge from Entebbe?

The most convenient way is a scheduled domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip (approx. 1 hour), followed by a 1.5-hour scenic drive to the lodge.

Does the lodge provide porters for gorilla trekking?

The lodge can arrange for local porters from the Nkuringo community. We highly recommend hiring one to assist with the steep terrain and to support the local economy.

What should I pack for a stay at Clouds?

Because of the high altitude, it gets very cold at night. Pack warm layers, waterproof hiking boots for trekking, and long trousers/sleeves to protect against nettles.

Is Wi-Fi available at the lodge?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the main lounge area, though the connection can be intermittent due to the remote mountain location.
