Is this a good place to see lions?

Absolutely. The Sametu Marsh is home to several large lion prides, and the kopjes behind the camp are frequently used by leopards for sunning and scouting.

Is the camp fenced?

No. The camp is completely open to the wild. You will be escorted to your tent by Maasai guards after dark.

How far is it from the migration?

The migration usually passes through this central area in May/June and again in November/December. However, the resident game at Sametu is so high that it is a top-tier destination year-round.

Can I charge my camera gear?

Yes, the camp has 24-hour solar power with international charging points available in every guest tent.
