Is Naboisho better than the main Maasai Mara Reserve?

For many, yes. Because it is a private conservancy, only guests staying at camps within Naboisho (like Ol Seki) are allowed to go on game drives here. This means you will never see "traffic jams" at a lion sighting. Furthermore, you can do things not allowed in the main reserve, such as Night Game Drives and Guided Bush Walks.

What is special about the "Star-Shaped" tents?

The Nina Tents are built on circular wooden decks with a canvas roof that fans out like a star. This design maximizes the view—instead of just one window, you have a nearly panoramic view of the plains from your bed. In 2026, these remain some of the most Instagrammed rooms in Kenya.

Can I see the Great Migration from here?

While the Mara River (where the famous crossings happen) is about a 1.5 to 2-hour drive away, Naboisho has its own "resident migration." Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra move through the conservancy. Additionally, Ol Seki is known for its incredible leopard and lion sightings, as Naboisho has one of the highest predator densities in Africa.

Is Ol Seki family-friendly?

Yes. The Simba and Chui Suites were designed specifically for families or groups of friends. They are essentially private villas with their own kitchens and dining areas. The camp also offers "Young Explorer" activities like traditional beadwork and animal tracking.

How far is the camp from Nairobi?

By air, it is a 45-minute flight from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) to Ol Seki Airstrip. By road, it is a long and bumpy 5 to 6-hour journey. We highly recommend flying to maximize your safari time in 2026.
