The Experience

Roving Bushtops is a pioneering concept in "Wild Luxury." It consists of just 8 mobile suites that are technically "tents on wheels," allowing the camp to pack up and move without leaving a trace. Despite its mobility, it offers the same 5-star standards as its sister camps, featuring king-size beds, 24-hour power, and high-end finishes. It is the most intimate of the Bushtops properties, catering to a maximum of 16 guests.

Common Enquiries

What makes "Roving" different from "Serengeti" Bushtops?

Roving is smaller (8 tents vs 15) and mobile. It moves to follow the herds, whereas Serengeti Bushtops is a permanent camp in the North. Roving also includes a private vehicle for every booking, which is a significant value-add.

Is it less "luxurious" because it's mobile?

Not at all. Guests are consistently shocked that a mobile camp can provide sunken bathtubs, hot tubs on decks, and gourmet 4-course meals.

Which location is better?

If you want to see babies and predators, choose Kusini (Feb/March). If you want the river crossings and "National Geographic" drama, choose Kogatende (July-Oct).

Can I book the whole camp?

Yes, Roving is highly popular for "Exclusive Use" bookings for families or small groups of up to 16 people.
