Are there flamingos at Lake Magadi?

Yes, depending on the season and water levels. When the lake is full, it becomes a hotspot for both Lesser and Greater Flamingos.

Is the area good for predators?

Excellent. The Makoma area is famous for its resident prides of lions and frequent leopard sightings on the nearby rocky outcrops (kopjes).

Is it a tent or a room?

It is a "hybrid"—it has the canvas walls and thatched roof of a luxury tent, but sits on a solid stone base with a permanent, high-end bathroom.

Is it safe for children?

Yes, but like all Serengeti lodges, it is unfenced. Children must be supervised at all times.
