Can you see the Crater from the rooms?

You can see the rim of the Crater in the distance, but you cannot see the Crater floor from here. The view is mostly of the Oldeani Mountain and the lush agricultural highlands.

Is the pool actually heated?

Yes, which is a rare and welcome luxury given the cooler temperatures in the Karatu highlands.

How far is the drive to the Crater floor?

It takes about 15 minutes to reach the park gate, and then another 30–40 minutes to drive up to the rim and down onto the crater floor.

Is it quiet?

Yes, because it sits on a private hill away from the main Karatu town roads, it remains very peaceful.
