Unlike the southern lodges that look into the sun, the Northern Rim location provides excellent lighting for photography of the crater floor throughout the day.
Is it cold?
Yes, the elevation is over 2,300m. However, the lodge is built with double-glazing, underfloor heating, and internal fireplaces to ensure a cozy "alpine" luxury feel.
Does it have private crater access?
While the crater floor is public, the lodge's proximity to the Seneto Descent gate allows its guests to be among the very first vehicles on the floor each morning.
Is it family-friendly?
The lodge primarily targets couples and small groups, but "The Edge Villas" are specifically designed to accommodate families with children (typically 10+ years).
