Is it on the Crater Rim?

No. It is in the Karatu area, about 15 minutes away from the gate. This means warmer weather, less fog, and much more space/gardens than rim-top hotels.

Is there a gym?

Yes, it has one of the best-equipped gyms for a lodge in the highlands.

Are there mosquitoes?

Being at a higher altitude (approx. 1,500m), there are fewer than in the parks, but all beds are equipped with mosquito netting for safety.

Can we walk around?

Yes! The property is gated and safe, with a dedicated walking trail through the orchards and gardens.
